Every bride wants a classic, elegant wedding with their own touch and Vicky got just that. Vicky and Stephen’s wedding at North Shore Country Club was everything and more!
The two met on a dating app originally and met up for the first time in Astoria, Queens. They hit it off and continued to date until they took a trip to Disney where Stephen proposed at the Grand Floridian Hotel. He rented out the top floor for a private dinner and even had a butler, Billy. The whole time, Vicky thought they were celebrating the fact that Stephen passed the California bar and missed all the hints. She even missed the ring on the dessert plate, how funny!
For this couple, the ceremony was much anticipated and very important. Stephen especially was looking forward to the mass and ceremony. Their priest and altar server was a friend who had known Stephen for years making their ceremony extra personal. While Vicky was looking forward to this as well, she especially couldn’t wait for all the surprise gifts Stephen’s groomsmen gave to her throughout the evening. They were to remind her of all their fun times and trips they’ve experienced together.
Since their event at North Shore Country Club was on October 18, 2018, their theme was fall. The couple took pictures throughout the venue, specifically the garden to really bring out that fall feel. Take a look below. What also helped was the floral centerpieces and bridesmaid’s bouquets, that were yellow, orange, and red. They also matched beautifully with their red dresses.
Speaking of dresses, Vicky was the picture-perfect bride in her three-quarter sleeve lace gown from Pronovias. While she initially wanted something a bit more plain, her mother, mother-in-law, and aunt convinced her otherwise. And we’re glad they did, just look at that dress! She completed her ensemble with a natural makeup look done by Sachiko. Stephen loved her makeup too!
Now let’s not forget about what Stephen wore. He was dressed in a classic black suit from Foresto Tuxedo. According to Vicky, he looked like a distinguished penguin. As did his groomsmen, all in black tuxedos from Foresto Tuxedo as well.
In addition to their fall theme that they coordinated with flowers, menus, gift favors, and place cards, they incorporated an “Up” themed guest book and gift table and other Disney themed pieces. A lot of it was DIY or custom made from Etsy. Believe it or not, they made their own photo booth props based on them! For example, they had Star Wars pieces like droids and a Catalina Wine Mixer banner from the film “Stepbrothers” as well as a BC Law banner.
We love when couples add their own personal touches to their wedding day! Vicky and Stephen’s North Shore Country Club wedding had so many special pieces. They wanted their music to be perfect, so much so that they hired additional instrumentalists and had one of their groomsmen sing some of their favorite religious songs. How cool!
If Vicky had any advice for future couples, it would be to, “carry cash for extra tips and other emergencies, ask everyone to keep their speeches short, and eat dinner quickly before making rounds to the tables.”
Congratulations to the absolutely stunning couple! We’re so glad we had the opportunity to take pictures at your North Shore Country Club wedding. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
