Bourne Mansion Wedding: Rebecca & Chris

Rebecca and Chris’ wedding was fit for Gatsby himself. The two had their big day at the Bourne Mansion in Oakdale and partied like it was the 1920’s.

The bride came dressed in an A-line gown with lace straps and a silver beaded belt designed by Maggie Sottero. She wore her hair mostly down but had a few pieces pinned back with silver clips. Rebecca finished off her look with a simple pair of earrings and a necklace that her sister helped her put on.

The groom, on the other hand, was dashing in a dark grey suit, the same as his groomsmen. All of which, were from Men’s Wearhouse. However, the groom sported a black tie whereas his friends had maroon ties to match the bridesmaids’ dresses.

There is truly nothing more special than someone close to the bride and groom officiating the wedding. Which is why our hearts melted when we found out that the Bride’s brother in law was officiating theirs! It makes the ceremony feel just that much more special.

The two said their vows under a wonderfully decorated floral arch from Pedestals. After they were pronounced husband and wife, we took some lovely pictures of the newlyweds, both alone, and with their bridal party.

Once the pictures were perfected, everyone headed to the reception for an evening of celebration. Rebecca and Chris’ guests watched as the two danced for the first time as a married couple. This is a tradition so many of our brides and grooms look forward to! In addition to the first dance, couples usually anticipate the speeches, which Rebecca and Chris’ bridesmaids and groomsmen made.

For decor, the pair had Pedestals create fantastic floral arrangements. With red and white flowers and the roots showing, it gave the room a rustic feel.

Before the night was through, the bride and groom cut into their delicious cake. The fruit on the outside matched the color scheme so well! Campbell’s Bakery did a wonderful job!
