Some wedding venues feel different as soon as you step into the gardens. Fox Hollow in Woodbury, Long Island, is one of those places. Between the winding paths, the little bridge over the water, and the warm lights inside the reception space, there are so many ways to tell a wedding story without leaving the property. At EXO Photography, we love the contrast between its quiet outdoor corners and the energy of the celebration inside.
The story begins long before the ceremony. A wedding dress hanging in the window, a mother helping with the final details, or friends gathering around the bride can become some of the most meaningful photographs of the day. We look for natural window light and the little interactions that make getting-ready coverage feel personal rather than staged.

One of our favorite ways to photograph a Fox Hollow wedding is to let the couple move through the grounds together. The garden paths, stonework, fountains, and bridge offer different backgrounds within a short walk. We often start with relaxed portraits in the greenery, then use the bridge for a wider image that includes the setting. That variety gives the gallery room to breathe.
Photography tip: Set aside a little time for portraits before guests gather in the outdoor spaces. A short, unhurried walk usually creates more natural photographs than trying to squeeze every location into a few minutes.

Fox Hollow’s outdoor ceremony setting has a brick aisle, greenery, and a timber-framed focal point. The symmetry works beautifully for a wide photograph of the ceremony, while closer images capture the expressions, hands, and reactions that make each wedding different. We recommend discussing the ceremony time and lighting with your photographer as you build the timeline.

Inside, the reception photographs tell a different part of the story. Chandeliers, string lights, stone walls, and floral arrangements create a warm atmosphere, especially as the evening gets underway. We photograph the room before guests enter whenever the schedule allows, then turn our attention to the speeches, dancing, and unscripted moments that bring the celebration to life.

Still photographs preserve individual moments; film lets you revisit the voices, movement, and atmosphere of the day. Here are two EXO wedding videos from Fox Hollow, presented separately so each celebration has its own space.

Don’t put the camera away after sunset. The entrance lights, illuminated stairways, and glowing reception backdrop can give nighttime portraits an entirely different mood from the garden photographs. We usually need only a few minutes with the couple to create a final set of images before they return to the party.

If you’re getting married at Fox Hollow, think about which parts of the property feel most like you. Maybe it’s a quiet walk through the garden, a photograph on the bridge, or a nighttime portrait before the evening ends. We’ll help build a photography timeline around those priorities while leaving room for the moments you can’t plan.
