The Mansion at Oyster Bay Wedding: Lauren & David

When you choose to have your wedding at a venue like The Mansion at Oyster Bay, it’s easy to be inspired. Lauren and David definitely were as they chose to keep their wedding elegant with a color scheme of black and ivory with sage and blush undertones.

This couple first met on Tinder. They started talking and really hit it off, so they decided to meet and ended up walking Lauren’s dog. Eventually, they realized this was it, which was when David got down on one knee in Lake George at their house. “This is our favorite place in the world and it was perfect with just the two of us there.”

On their big day, Lauren wore a Pronovias gown from Nordstrom. It was a long lace strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, tonal beading, and a gorgeous train. As for the groom, he was dressed in a plaid tux to give him a unique style and to help him stand out from his groomsmen. The groomsmen matched the bridesmaids seamlessly as they were also in black.

Lauren and David wanted the flowers at the wedding to create a romantic ambiance. All the bouquets were filled with ivory and blush roses with black buttons to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. These same color flowers were also seen during the ceremony and the reception.

The ceremony at their church was intimate and heartfelt. They added flowers around the church to enhance the beauty of it. It looked absolutely stunning as the two said their vows.

The reception at The Mansion at Oyster Bay was decorated mainly with the flowers and DIY signs. Each table had large floral centerpieces that were surrounded by succulents created by the bride. All the guests were allowed to take these home as a party favor! Lauren and David also included signs on the mantle as well as flip flop baskets and some decorations the bride put together herself.

The couple’s favorite portion of the night was the speeches. They loved hearing all the great things everyone had to say. It’s moments like these that you and your husband can reflect on forever.

The bride had some great advice to share with future couples. “Be super organized and keep everything in one place. Also, don’t let the small things get to you, this is your wedding and it will be special and beautiful whatever you plan and get accomplished. Enjoy every aspect of it, it goes so fast!”

Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
