Some of us are just hopeless romantics. We want the beachside proposal, the horseback ride into the sunset, the kiss in the rain. Well, most of the time those are things that only happen in movies, but not for Ashlie and Kevin!

Meeting in school at Johnson and Wales University Providence nearly seven years ago, these two have been crazy about each other ever since. These two may not have initially been destined to recreate a scene from a movie, but Kevin had other plans.

On a trip to the beautiful island of Maui, Kevin planned various activities for them but he had another trick up his sleeve. At the conclusion of a sunrise horseback ride along the Hana coastline, Kevin had a picnic set up and was quick to get down on one knee before the rain started to pour. As Ashlie put it, “It was magical!” Based on the amazing engagement, their wedding was destined to be perfect and it came as close as a wedding can get. Held at the beautiful Fox Hollow the couple was gifted with snow but they didn’t mind this time either. The ceremony was beautiful and special because Kevin’s uncle was the officiant!

We were so lucky to have been given the chance to capture this movie-like romance for such a lovely couple. We were honored they chose us as their Long Island photographers to document their special day. We wish Kevin and Ashlie years of  happiness as they continue their lives together as husband and wife.
