Amanda and Rob had their wedding at Fox Hollow on November 16, 2018. The couple met at Stimson Middle school and were friends for years. They started dating 6.5 years before the wedding.
On September 10th, 2017 Rob proposed on their trip to Niagara Falls. Amanda recalls that it was an absolutely, beautiful day.
Amanda bought her dress in Florida, and chose to go for an elegant and classy look. It was understated, with just the right amount of sparkle. Her hair and makeup was sleek and glowy. Rob’s tuxedo and short haircut went well with Amanda’s look.
Their favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony. Their officiant, Sara Shonfeld, helped make it special. A stand out moment was the wine box ceremony, where they filled a box with a bottle of wine purchased in Portugal. The box was sealed with love letters. They plan to open them on their 5th anniversary. Another special moment was when their mothers delivered the rings. Although the ceremony was decorated by the venue, they added candles to the window sills that lit up the entire room.
Soon, it was time for the reception. They decorated the Fox Hollow party room with white, ivory and blush flowers. The bridesmaids wore long black dresses, and the groomsman wore black tuxedos. Everyone danced the night away.
Here is some advice from Amanda:
“Try and enjoy the process. It can be extremely stressful. People will test your patience, but try to remember the whole reason you’re doing this. You love each other and want to be with one another forever. Also, do what YOU want to do. It is no one else’s wedding. Others will tell you what they want and what you should do, but it is your day. Listen and be respectful, but in the end, do what you want!”
