Northport Village Engagement: Lauren & Anthony

Listen close because this is one love story you won’t want to miss! Lauren and Anthony, who recently took their engagement photos in Northport Village, have been very close friends since they were in first grade. However, it wasn’t until later in life that they realized they were meant to be.

Lauren and Anthony were in the same religion class in first grade, coincidentally, Lauren’s mother was the teacher. Through this, their parents became best friends and eventually became so close that they started taking family trips together. Lauren and Anthony spent their childhood together and were even each other’s first kiss at 9 years old! It was always said that the families would get together so when Anthony and Lauren broke off their long term relationships, they confided in one another. Finally, the stars aligned and they went on their first date. Immediately they knew that this was it. As they say, “it was always you!”

On Lauren’s 30th birthday, Anthony planned a surprise party and engagement in one! He ensured Lauren’s father flew in from Florida not only to be at the party, but so he could ask for permission to marry his daughter.

When Lauren showed up, she was shocked. She looked around and saw all her closest friends and family, and most importantly, her father. She ran right up to him, crying (as Anthony expected she would) and Anthony got down on one knee. Her father said, “I need you to do me a favor, turn around.” She asked why as she turned around and there he was on one knee. She kept saying “are you serious?!”

The two chose Northport Village as their engagement spot because they go there so frequently, not to mention it’s the place Anthony asked Lauren out. It was only right that they made this love story come full circle.

It was so cold and windy by the water that day, but the awesome couple toughed it out with smiles on their faces.

The couple had no plan for their Northport Village photoshoot, only that they wanted it at that location and near the water. They also brought two props, a DIY wine glass with the date of their wedding and an old picture of them from when they were 10 in Montauk. Other than that, they left it up to us!

Anthony and Lauren enjoyed their photoshoot and loved getting to know our photographers prior to the wedding. “We fell in love with Nicole! She was so warm and kind and made us very comfortable!”

“We are so excited not only to marry each other but to have our families finally join together after saying it for 20 years. Our wedding is going to be a big party with our big Italian families! We are so excited to have you guys be there to capture the moments for us to have forever!”
