The Mansion at Oyster Bay Wedding: Viki & Michael

In November of 2015, friends and relatives gathered to watch the joining of two families as Viki and Michael were married. They shared a Greek Orthodox service followed by a lively party at The Mansion at Oyster Bay.

The bride and groom’s parents each share over 30 years of marriage, so it wasn’t hard to tell how much this wedding meant to everyone involved. Not to mention, both families are Greek so getting to celebrate their culture was an added bonus!

Viki and Mike met on Match.com when they both decided they were fed up with the “going out scene”. Each signed up in hopes of finding something different. And as fate would have it, they found just what they were looking for.

After years of dating, Mike proposed to Viki in a Greek restaurant in Astoria. Both of their immediate families were there as they wanted an atmosphere of unconditional love.

On the morning of their wedding day, Viki and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done. As nerves filled the room, they all put on their gowns and heels and began to make their way to the church.

Mike could not wait to see Viki walking down the aisle. As she made her way down alongside her father, guests watched in awe. These are some of our favorite photos to capture. Even more so when the church is as beautiful as this one! The bride and groom participated in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony where they were finally pronounced husband and wife.

The bride and groom felt the alone time they had in the car on their way to The Mansion at Oyster Bay was one of the best parts of the day. It gave them a moment to let all that was happening sink in.

When they arrived at the venue, everyone headed to the dance floor where they watched Viki and Mike dance for the first time as a married couple. In addition to their first dance, they danced some traditional Greek dances to incorporate their culture into their big day.

Viki and Mike were so pleased with how their dream wedding came out. “Everything was perfect. Don’t sweat the small stuff and everything will fall into place.”

Great advice! We loved getting to know the bride and groom before their Mansion at Oyster Bay wedding and were so happy with how the day turned out! Congratulations!
