You know when you leave a wedding and can’t stop thinking about how beautiful it was? You think, “I hope my wedding will be this beautiful!”? Well, practically everyone left Danielle and Jason’s Oceanbleu wedding with that thought.
The event was filled with hydrangeas, which was one of the main elements of their big day. Due to its pastel colors and Hamptons feel, Danielle just had to incorporate them. She wanted her wedding to be clean, elegant, and timeless with a touch of bling. And since purple and lavender are her favorite colors, she needed to add these colors in wherever she could. This included her bouquet and the bridesmaid’s dresses.
While the bridesmaid dresses are important, nothing tops the wedding gown. Danielle went searching at Kleinfeld Bridal for her dream gown. She tried on a bunch of dresses but eventually found the one. It was an ivory gown with a train, a detachable skirt, and beaded back. To add some extra sparkle, Danielle put on a silver necklace and Swarovski crystal belt.
As for the groom, he wanted to stick out. So, he was dressed in a custom made white and black tuxedo with black shiny shoes, a black bowtie, and a silk black pocket square. He was the image of classy and elegant!
So, you’re probably wondering how this beautiful couple came to be. Well, we have the app J Swipe to thank. Danielle was Jason’s first match on the Jewish dating app. From the moment they saw one another, they knew they had met their match. In fact, Jason called up his best friend Alex and told him he had met the one.
Jason soon proposed to Danielle in Miami while on vacation for his birthday. As Danielle was getting ready, she heard their song, “I knew I loved you before I met you” by Savage Garden, begin to play. She walked into the room and found Jason on one knee with the ring box open, a bottle of champagne, and a Cracker Jack box (an inside joke). Of course, Danielle said yes and the two celebrated that evening.
This Jewish wedding included many traditional customs. For starters, the two had a beautiful chuppah in which they exchanged vows. They also participated in the horah, a traditional Jewish dance. However, the most special thing they did, was throw two white roses from their chuppah into the water with a prayer in memory of Jason’s late mother, Andrea.
At the end of the night, Danielle and Jason had a campfire on the beach! Guests gathered around the fire and roasted marshmallows. It was a very unique touch that everyone loved!
The following is some advice from Danielle: “Always communicate well to each other, always be respectful, and end each day with I love you. Wedding planning is easier when making lots of lists and creating a Pinterest page. Never settle and go with what you and your partner want for your big day! Visit a few venues and pick the one you feel best fits you and your partner and one that will make you the happiest!”
