It’s a relationship like Lindsay and Mark’s that remind us of how authentic and real true love is. From the very beginning of the day at Carlyle on the Green to the very end, the love in that room was palpable. Each moment proved that these two were put on this earth to find one another.
You are probably wondering how soulmates like this found each other. Well, when Lindsay was a senior in College and Mark was starting out in the real world, they attended the same party. The bar, Alphabet Lounge, was crowded with tons of people, including a lot of Mark’s best friends who eventually became his groomsmen. Mark and Lindsay decided to step outside where it was quieter to talk. The two spent the whole night chatting after Mark asked to buy Lindsay a drink. She requested a vodka soda, sparking some controversy over what kind of soda. She replied, “Just tell them, they will know.”
A few years later, Lindsay and Mark who had been dating for quite some time now, went to Camelback Mountain in the Poconos. The two went every year with their best friends, Samantha and Rob. So, when they took the trip out this time, Lindsay didn’t think much of it. Even when Mark’s sister and her husband tagged along, Lindsay thought it was normal as they didn’t live far and ski together often. The group made a few runs down the mountain when they decided they wanted to take a few pictures at the top. One by one, each couple posed for their photos. When Lindsay and Mark finally had their turn, Mark got down on one knee, asking Lindsay to be his wife.
At the bottom of the run, both of their families were there, eager to congratulate them!
Prior to the wedding, Lindsay could not wait to show Mark her dress. She had not given him any details about it, however, she loved it so much, all she wanted to do was tell her best friend (Mark) all about it. So when she finally walked down the aisle in her dream gown and saw his face, it was absolutely perfect.
As the bride made her way down the aisle, she had to remind herself to keep looking straight as she was so nervous. But, once she reached the end and stared her groom in the eyes, all the nerves melted away. The couple said their vows to one another and kissed as husband and wife. As they made their grand exit from their church, they were greeted with bubbles!
Lindsay and Mark, alongside all their guests, headed over to Carlyle on the Green for the reception. Considering how gorgeous the location was, we pulled the newlyweds aside for some pictures they will cherish for the rest of their lives.
During the reception, it was easy to capture all the energy, excitement, and love in the room. In every picture, you can physically see the enchantment of it all.
One thing is for sure though, everyone in the room experienced the love Lindsay and Mark had for one another when Mark sang their first dance song to Lindsay. When he was younger, Mark used to sing, however, he stopped as he got older. So, when he surprised Lindsay by singing “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)” with the piano player, her heart nearly stopped. “I danced staring into his eyes and for that song it was legitimately just him and I. It was so special, so heartfelt and thoughtworthy, and something I will talk about for the rest of my life!”
The rest of the evening followed without a hitch! People were drinking “The Conversation Starter” otherwise known as a vodka soda. Guests danced the night away, both families mingled into one, and everyone ate the delicious cake. Especially Mark!
Congratulations to such a beautiful couple, Lindsay and Mark. We are so glad we had the opportunity to play a role in your wedding at Carlyle on the Green. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
