Heritage Club at Bethpage wedding: Katie and Sean

From humble beginnings and truly touching stories, these two have been long awaiting the day where they could really call each other husband and wife.

If you’ll recall the story, Sean asked for Katie’s hand in a childhood park near a tree that stands and grows in that park in memory of her passed father. It was an easy yes and there were so many more moments where Katie’s father was commemorated during her special day with Sean.

Their wedding was held at the Heritage Club at Bethpage and the day could not have been more perfect. These two went with a simple look and color scheme for their wedding and every detail was special and meaningful. In fact, this was with specific intention to make sure that everyone focused on the couple, on the family, and on the fun that was meant to be had!

No flowers, colors, or extras took away from the pure joy on each face during the ceremony and the reception! Katie shares that her favorite moments were all aimed at the dancefloor which was packed the whole night. With music by David Clarke and the Renegades, Katie and Sean wanted to make sure the music was perfect for an amazing reception and party.

This couple’s advice to future brides is to, “Forget the little details!” They encourage brides and grooms, instead, to enjoy the moments on the dancefloor and the hellos and interactions with the guests during your special day and that those memories will be so much more important than the extra details and added “things” during the day.

We are so thankful to be lucky enough to capture Sean and Katie’s journey from engaged couple to husband and wife from the start and have loved getting to know these two as their chosen Long Island engagement and wedding photographers.
