If Melinda and Anthony could relive just one part of their Larkfield Manor wedding, they would choose the ceremony, hands down.
The two met their freshman year of college in English class. It was their second semester at Nassau Community College and the two got to talking which eventually lead to some dates. Many dates later, Anthony took Melinda on THE date. It was a surprise lunch at Oheka Castle. The two ate and then decided to take pictures around the venue. When they arrived at the grand staircase, Anthony got down on one knee.
When Melinda made her way down the aisle and finally saw her groom, they both began to cry. Both the bride and groom couldn’t wait to see each other that day, so when the moment finally came, they were so overcome with emotion, they both shed tears. Which made their guests shed tears. Which made us shed tears.
Melinda and Anthony shared their vows with one another. They were personal, vulnerable, and from the heart. Ceremonies are some of our favorite moments to capture as the emotion is so real and so raw. There is truly nothing in this world like it.
Once the bride and groom were pronounced husband and wife, they shared their first kiss as a married couple! From there, they headed to the ballroom for an evening of celebration!
The newlyweds entered the room and shared their first dance. Everyone gathered around the dance floor and couples slowly started to join in. As the night continued, everyone was grooving on the dance floor. Even one of the bridesmaids played the violin for a little!
Later that evening, Melinda’s brother gave a speech that brought everyone to tears (again). We love hearing the speeches at weddings, it is so incredible getting a glimpse into everyone’s life and seeing how loved they are by everyone in the room.
If the bride and groom had to offer any advice for future couples, it would be as follows. “Plan ahead of time, start saving ASAP, and never give up on your dream wedding no matter how hard it may be to accomplish.” We couldn’t agree more!
Congratulations to the beautiful couple! What a wonderful day at Larkfield Manor! We wish you nothing but the best.
