After months of going on unsuccessful dates, both Ashley and Joseph were growing tired of the dating scene. Going to bars every weekend to find “the one” no longer felt like a viable option. So, they decided to sign up for an online dating service in order to find that worthwhile love. When the two matched, they immediately hit it off and knew that this was the person they were going to be with for the rest of their lives. And they were correct! Which is how we found ourselves at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion.
In 2014, Joseph took Ashley out east for a wine tasting. When they showed up to Macari Vineyards, the couple walked around the building while the staff “set up.” Joseph pulled Ashley into a private room that was lit with candles, covered in flowers, and overlooking the gorgeous vineyards. Ashley, however, did not want to intrude on someone else’s party and refused to go inside. After much convincing, Joseph finally got Ashley to come inside. He walked with her over to the window and began making a speech where he got down on one knee and asked Ashley to be his wife. Of course, she said yes and kissed her fiance! Little did she know, this was just the beginning.
The newly engaged walked back out of the room and over to the woman who was “setting up” the room. She showed them into the room and Ashley was shocked when she found both of their families there to celebrate! The day followed with a wine tasting and dinner that evening.
On the morning of the wedding, Ashley and Joseph prepared for their big day separately. Ashley with her bridesmaids and glam squad, Joseph with his groomsmen in superhero t-shirts.
In the girl’s room, they toasted with champagne to this life-changing day while wearing adorable robes. When the time came, the bride put on her mermaid-style wedding gown and the bridesmaids stepped into their navy dresses. It was go time.
While the service at their church was absolutely amazing, the couple was most looking forward to the reception. They couldn’t wait to dance with their family and friends, celebrating all the love in the room.
During the reception at the NYIT de Seversky Mansion, the bride and groom entered the room for the first time as husband and wife. They then danced their first dance as a married couple.
When asked if they could relive any part of their day, they chose their dance to From the Ground Up by Dan and Shay. Joseph asked the band to play it and dedicated it to his wife. They slow danced to it as their guests watched the two in love.
Later on that evening, Ashley and Joseph danced with their parents and guests, followed by speeches and of course, cutting into the delicious cake.
The night soon came to a close as Ashley and Joseph thanked their guests for coming. We packed up all of our equipment and headed home as well. Now, it was just the two of them, as it will be forever.
Congratulations, Ashley and Joseph! Enjoy the honeymoon!

P.S. Here’s some advice the bride wanted to share! “Don’t stress about the little things on the day of your wedding. There are things that will go wrong and you need to just move on and continue to enjoy your day (it’s a once in a lifetime event). Most importantly though, take a few moments during your day/night and stop with your new husband and just observe everyone and everything going on around you. Make mental memories that way so you will always remember how much fun everyone else had as well and how amazing your day was to you as well as everyone else who attended.”
