In the age of technology, there are no more boundaries keeping us from those we love. The rules of destiny have been changed with the internet and the connection we can have to all corners of the world.

Marina and John are both lucky that these things exist because they met on a dating app and instantly knew they wanted to connect. Once the time and place were set, these two had their first date together that started less than ideal. In the pouring rain, Marina was late to the restaurant and they missed their reservations. Quick and worried about missing an opportunity, John found another spot where they could eat together.

They sat down and chatted for hours getting to know one another and when Marina went home, she knew something special had happened that night.

The magic kept working for them because on Christmas Eve Marina worked half the day at work and was anxious to get home. Mostly because John had been calling her incessantly asking when she would arrive. The clock never ticked as slowly as it did that day. Finally, as she opened the front door to their apartment they had recently moved into, John was there on his knee next to the fireplace. Music was playing, candles were lit, and history was made.

With one simple, “yes,” they started the plans to make their commitment to each other official. They had their wedding at the Somerley at Fox Hollow. An elegant and romantic spot that fit their classy personalities. The wedding was near perfect and Marina says the only she would change is the weather. Overall, the whole day was incredible. Friends and family gathered to watch and witness these two making the most important commitment of their lives and seal the deal with a kiss.

We were so happy that John and Marina let us into their love story to help capture such a special and monumental day for them. We were so pleased to be their chosen Long Island photographers and hope that the images can be lasting memories that both of them can look back on with loving eyes and warm hearts.
