Nikki and Ryan wanted a wedding that was unique, rustic, and portrayed who they are as a couple. Well, their wedding at The Barn at Old Bethpage was exactly that! It doesn’t get any more rustic than having your wedding in an old barn. And decorating it with string lights adds an elegant and classic touch. 

These soulmates originally met on a dating site. They hit it off right from the beginning and decided to meet. Their meeting went so well that they ended up dating.

Five years later, Nikki was pregnant with their daughter, Lilliana, and heading off for a hike through Avalon Park with Ryan. As they trekked through a field of tall grass, Ryan got down on one knee and asked the ultimate question. Nikki, ecstatic, said yes! 

Afterward, they went to Robinson’s Tea House to celebrate with hot tea and grilled cheese sandwiches. Lilliana clearly wanted to show her approval because she decided to kick for the first time! It was the first time Nikki had ever felt her daughter move. Could a day get more perfect? 

Well, their wedding day at The Barn at Old Bethpage may have been! Nikki and Ryan were both looking forward to finally celebrating their love among family and friends. On top of that, they were excited to watch their daughter walk down the aisle. 

When it came time for Lilliana to do her duties as a flower girl, she basked in all the attention and even clapped for herself! We almost died from cuteness overload! 

However, everyone went from smiling at Lilliana to picking their jaws up off the floor as Nikki came down the aisle. She donned an off the shoulder gown with a cathedral length, lace-trimmed veil. To top it off, she added a beautiful pearl necklace, one she received from her groom after he found the pearl in an oyster in Hawaii. 

After Nikki and Ryan were pronounced husband and wife, they took the bridal party for pizza! In order to prevent any spills or messes, they all wore rain ponchos. Nikki and Ryan really wanted the day to be different and catered to who they are as a couple. 

We took some pictures of the newlyweds by the water in the area and then headed to The Barn at Old Bethpage where we got some awesome shots with the rustic scenery. From there on out, everyone partied in the barn! Their 10-piece band, Code Bleu, was absolutely incredible and had everyone up and grooving all night long. 

Nikki and Ryan wanted The Barn at Old Bethpage to look as organic as possible, so the barn was decorated with lots of greenery and flowers with hints of lavender and white spray roses. As a special touch, both the bride and groom had a lily of the valley hidden in their bouquet and boutonniere to represent their daughter. Each table had mason jars as centerpieces. Old wine barrels were used as cocktail tables and old shutters as a place to hang photos. 

Once their gorgeous day came to an end and the couple had time to settle in, we asked them if they had any wedding planning or marriage advice to share with future couples. Here’s what they said! “Live each day like a new page in a book. Enjoy the little things. Take daily trips to new places. Explore what life and this world has to offer together. Enjoy the culture and beautiful escapes that are around your home as well as to places far away. When it comes to planning your day, remember that the day goes quickly so try not to sweat the small things. Incorporate the things that describe you two as a couple and make you guys unique.”
