Some people are just meant to find each other in this world and Alisa and Michael, who got married at The Garden City Hotel, are two of those people. The two met in Thailand in July of 2014 on their way to catch a ferry to Ko Phi Phi. Alisa, traveling with her college bestie, Sian, hopped on a bus. At the same time, Michael, traveling with his college bestie, Alex hopped on the same bus. Both groups got off the bus but were confused as to which ferry was theirs. This was when Michael and Alex approached Alisa and Sian and started chatting.
That night, the four got dinner and hung out. Michael and Alisa got to talking and hit it off from the start. They spent the night laughing and had a blast. Alisa recalls Michael being charming, smart, and handsome. She never wanted the night to end.
Three years later in 2017, Michael and Alisa were on a weekend trip to Nashville. The two were having a picnic on the grass in a park during sunset when Michael got down on one knee and popped the question.
Alisa and Michael’s wedding at The Garden City Hotel started with a beautiful Jewish ceremony. They exchanged vows, rings, and “I do’s” under a stunning (and I mean STUNNING) floral chuppah. It was made up of orchids and cherry blossom trees and was to die for! Take a look!
As their theme was gold, all their florals included golden leaf features as well as white orchids, roses, and other classy and elegant flowers. Alisa’s bouquet was comprised of cascading white orchids and other white flowers while her bridesmaids’ had lilacs and white flowers.
The couple’s favorite part of the day was their ceremony as it was so personal. They also loved seeing all their family and loved ones together in one room. “We were overwhelmed with so much love and happiness. The party was also so much fun, we couldn’t stop dancing!”
Alisa’s wedding gown was timeless with a jaw-dropping train from Pronovias. It was simple and classic, just what she wished for! Michael wore a customized classic black tux.
If Alisa had to offer any advice to future brides, she’d tell them to, “enjoy the wedding planning process and every minute of the wedding! My husband and I worked together as a team and it definitely was more fun doing the planning together!”
Congratulations to the beautiful couple! We wish you a lifetime of happiness! Check out their wedding video here.
