Engagement sessions are meant to be fun, light-hearted, and a way for you to get to know your photographer. This is exactly what happened at Alexa and Michael’s engagement session at Welwyn Preserve County Park! The two walked around the colorful park as we took some incredible shots.
For their shoot, Alexa donned a long-sleeve, burgundy sweater dress and black booties. She finished off her look with a long necklace and her hair down. As for the groom-to-be, Michael wore a grey plaid sweater with black jeans and black shoes. Their colors worked very well together which is an incredibly important detail of your engagement photos.
The colors also matched the graffiti walls at Welwyn Preserve County Park. The location was so unique with old abandoned buildings, graffiti, and some classic brick pillars. We loved how versatile it was. We could go from indoors to outdoors, classic to modern, all while capturing such beautiful photos of such a beautiful couple.
The location a couple chooses for their engagement session plays a huge part in the overall outcome of the shoot. It will be the backdrop of the photos that they will have forever and may even choose to display at their wedding. Not sure about a location? We have an abundance of places for you to choose from. Please don’t hesitate to ask for a suggestion!
We had such a great time with Alexa and Michael at Welwyn Preserve County Park. It was our first time shooting there so we are so grateful to have been shown a new unique location!
Alexa and Michael were able to get out all of those nerves about being in front of a camera well before their wedding day. Speaking of, we cannot wait to see all this amazing couple has in store for their big day. Congratulations on your engagement and we will see you soon for your wedding day!
