Yet another tale of young love, these two met when they were nearly thirteen and fourteen years old. Brought together by good friends, these two became close and followed each other into history, but the two friends who set them up are still a huge part of their lives as well. It’s so special to meet someone so young, but to also stay closely connected with those that shaped our lives at such a young age is also amazing.
In the winter of 2013, Evan gave Kerri the best surprise gift ever- a trip to Europe. That January of 2014, they were on their way to Paris and London and this is where the magic happened. Evan knew how make a truly romantic and memorable proposal by asking Kerri in front of the Notre Dame Cathedral on the Pont de l’Archeveche bridge where they gladly added a padlock to the infamous bridge with many others.
As if it couldn’t be more special, Kerri soon found out that her grandfather, who was then passed, had given Evan her Nana’s diamond to be placed carefully into Kerri’s engagement ring.
As much as these two love each other, they have also known each other forever which makes surprises very difficult! Kerri was so shocked that Evan had kept the proposal a true surprise and on the day of their wedding, Kerri found it difficult to wait so she could show Evan her dress!
Kerri and Evan held their wedding at The Woodlands and this fun couple was a blast to work with. The weather was less than perfect for their special day but nothing could possible have dulled the absolute look of love these two shared. Kerri said if she could do it again she would walk down the aisle with her father again. Seeing Evan’s face and arms waiting for her was one of the best feelings.
Getting married during a hurricane makes for a pretty good story and these two are full of fun and crazy stories to share. Their love for each other is so evident and we enjoyed being their chosen New York photographers and cinematographers who had the chance to capture another part of their love story together.
