Kim and Chris officially tied the knot in an elegant affair at Bourne Mansion! The two originally met back at Fordham University as seniors and after dating for almost a decade, Chris proposed.
The religious ceremony took place at their church, Cure of Ars Church in Merrick. Kim’s father walked her down the aisle but when they reached the end, he kissed her and left her with her groom. At the altar, Kim and Chris exchanged vows, rings, and a kiss! Officially husband and wife, the couple held hands and walked back down the aisle, heading off to Bourne Mansion.
The bride and groom loved the sight of all their friends and family, from near and far, in one room. There’s nothing like the celebration of love to bring everyone together. Kim and Chris’s guests gathered around the dance floor as they entered the room for the first time as a married couple. From there on out, the festivities roared and never ceased until the night ended.
Both of the newlyweds danced with their parents, a very special moment we loved capturing. Soon the cake was cut and their loved ones made speeches. As the night came to an end, all Kim and Chris wished for was more time!
Looking back on her day, Kim had some advice to share. “Assign people you trust special duties (a point person at the church, a point person for shuttle busses).” We agree! A wedding is a lot to handle for just two people. Your loved ones would enjoy helping so make sure you let go of some of the load when they offer a hand!
Congratulations, Kim and Chris! Your wedding at Bourne Mansion was beautiful!
