In one of the loveliest spots on Long Island, Nicole and Kjell wanted to get the full effect of the Caumsett State Park in their engagement photos- and the park had plenty to offer.

What makes this park very unique is all of the different spots you can find, ranging in habitats from seaside and shoreline to woodlands and open meadows, this is a perfect place for an outdoor setting with great variety.

This edgy couple dressed in dark colors which contrasted brilliantly with the bright leaves changing with the seasons. The yellows and oranges blended together behind Nicole and Kjell to make almost a watercolor feel to their pictures.

Both Nicole and Kjell seemed to pick up energies from their surroundings and cozied up with each other on the leaves in a way that seemed so natural. The perfect weather plus the perfect couple made a super combination. The sun was bright- not a cloud in the sky- and the leaves seemed to be glowing and you had two people who just wanted to have fun together. For a photographer, it doesn’t get much better than that.

This fun engagement session took us all over the park looking for the best leaves, trees, and backdrops to give this couple the well-deserved dimension in their photos that matched their relationship: natural, carefree, and cozy.
