Jenna and Alex’s love story started long before their engagement shoot at Planting Fields Arboretum. In fact, it started back in high school.
This couple spent their first two years of high school without ever meeting. However, come their junior year, they finally met and never looked back.
Years later in October of 2018, Jenna and Alex went on a trip to California. They drove down the coast for 10 days, starting in San Francisco and ending in San Diego, where they met up with Jenna’s family. On Saturday, they were going to Napa Valley. Alex knew this would be the place to pop the question.
The high school sweethearts pulled up to the vineyard and had a winetasting. Since the vineyard was so beautiful, they couldn’t miss the opportunity to walk around the property. This is when Alex got down on one knee and asked Jenna to be his wife.
Jenna and Alex picked Planting Fields Arboretum after asking Google for the best Long Island engagement shoot locations. They also asked a few friends and family members and only heard great things. The couple even went to see the location to make sure they loved it, and of course, they did.
We met up with Jenna and Alex in early November for some unbelievable pictures. They walked through the park, held hands in the sunset, and laughed in the grass. It was an incredible day.
Many people find that doing an engagement shoot prior to the wedding day helps them feel more comfortable in front of the camera and in front of their photographers. Alex and Jenna are no different!
“It definitely helped! By the end of the shoot, we felt comfortable being ourselves and with the direction from Nicole and Josh. They were familiar with Planting Fields Arboretum and came to the shoot with a plan which made us feel at ease. In the short time of the shoot, we couldn’t be more excited for Nicole and Josh to capture our big day.”
We couldn’t be more excited either! Looking forward to your wedding day! Congratulations on your engagement!
