The wedding between Christine and Chase was held on October 15th, 2016 at The Ram’s Head Inn.
“Chase and I met in Montauk. He grew up there, and I was a 20-something year old girl, renting a house for the summer with friends. Although we met in 2009, we didn’t begin dating until 2010. Ever since then, he’s made sure that every moment is more memorable than the last.”
A Saturday morning in April, quickly went from mundane to momentous for Christine. Her then boyfriend, Chase, called her up at work and proposed they skip town to the North Fork. He planned an afternoon of wine tastings, dining at their favorite restaurant, the North Fork Table and Inn, and an overnight stay. He told her to dress nicely and that they’d be leaving around 4pm, later that day.
The only bump in the road for Christine, was that she was in the midst of switching over her winter closet, and did not have clothing readily available, for this particular occasion. Before they left, she went into town, bought an outfit, and soon, they were off! Little did Christine know, this trip was not as spontaneous as Chase made it seem.
During their dinner, after a beautiful afternoon of wine tastings, Chase was acting odd and mentioned he had left his phone in the car. While he went to grab it, he really went to arrange champagne in their hotel room. When he returned, he began telling Christine how much he loved her and the life they had together. While doing this, he got down on one knee and proposed! Christine, overjoyed, said yes.
Christine and her mother visited four stores before she deciding on a dress, designed by Allure from Bridal Suites of Bayshore. The wedding was held at The Ram’s Head Inn, right off Shelter Island. The wedding photos taken at The Ram’s Head Inn, perfectly reflect their relationship. Meeting in a beach town and then getting married in one. This all came full circle for the couple. Christine’s favorite part of the wedding was their “first look” photos. Seeing Chase’s expression, when he saw her for the first time, was priceless.
Here is some advice from Christine, for you, future brides:
“You worked so hard to plan the wedding of your dreams, enjoy it! Look into the eyes of your husband & know that your love for one another is the most important part of the day. There is nothing that can trump that! Don’t let the small stuff (or even the big stuff) stress you out.”
